He began his Real Estate investment journey as a student in 2014. At the time, he had quit his corporate job to spend more time with his wife and 3 children. But one must pay the bills, so he started his own business. Although he enjoyed the experience he had an "Aha" moment after reading the book "Rich Dad, Poor Dad." He was still trading dollars for hours.
He attended his 3-day Basic training with his wife and knew on day one this was his path to financial freedom!
Rob has focused his attention on Rent to Own, Multi-Family, BRRR's & Private Lending. As important as the real estate has been, his strong negotiating skills to make certain each transaction works within the criteria he uses to decide if a deal truly is a deal has been just as key to his success.
Rob is a firm believer that real estate investing is a people business, and his knack for networking has proven to be pivotal in raising funds for his real estate investments. Real estate is not just about 4 walls, a roof and a floor; it's a people business.

Rob Lamontagne is a real estate investor located in Ottawa, Ontario. As a self-employed computer consultant, he had no pension. To retire, he needed to rely on his savings and investments. He had to make a new plan. Everything went well until the Global Meltdown between September 2008 and April 2009. Freedom 55 had become Freedom 75 overnight. As a direct result of this, in 2009, he began his real estate career as a student in an educational program teaching the Rich Dad Philosophy of buying, holding and managing investment real estate. That is, buying cash-flowing investment real estate using as little of your own money as possible.
Using the skills he learned in the Rich Dad program, he bought his first multi-family property in September of 2010, a 15-unit building in Windsor, 100% financed using a conventional mortgage and money borrowed from his home equity line of credit for the down payment. To date, all of his acquisitions have been 100% financed, using a combination of creative financing strategies, which he teaches in his Creative Financing course.
Since 2014, Rob has mentored others in investment real estate acquisition and strategies, emphasizing long-term buy/rent/hold, rent-to-own, private lending and creative financing. In 2016, he began teaching classes, both online and in person.

Kurt began his Real Estate investment journey in 2018 after spending eight years trading stocks, options, and forex, from 2009 through 2017. Throughout those years, he went from a sales representative in 2004 to a publicly traded company's General Manager of Canada in 2015. He is raising two children who have been active in taekwondo and rep sports since 2013.
Understanding "how" to create balance in life has been necessary since Kurt began working in 2004. Like most people, he struggled for years; unfortunately, he became a single father. It was at his lowest point when Kurt began dedicating time to self-development. Through this journey, he learned to be an active father, basketball coach, significant other, real estate investor, high-level director, poet and educator. He has also launched several businesses.
Kurt's strengths are his calm demeanour, eagerness to learn, and ability to understand that every failed experience is an opportunity for growth.
His goal is to create a legacy that his family can carry for generations to come and do it all while working on a beach in a tropical paradise.
